Dr. Steven A. Shapiro is the Founder of Pediatric Medical Associates.  He is Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Abington Jefferson Health.

Dr. Shapiro is the current Primary Care Trustee (Pediatrics) to the Pennsylvania Medical Society and serves the organization as its CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Plan) Advisory Council representative. In September 2016 he was elected Vice Chairman of the Council. Dr. Shapiro is the current Region 5 At-Large representative to the PA AAP.  He is a current member of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the AAP, and both the Pennsylvania and Montgomery County Medical Societies.

WCHHA is the best model for the independent Physician in the primary care setting to succeed and optimize the economic model during the transition from the Fee for Service to a Value Based Care system.
